While I am a bit young for the TurboGrafx, I’ve always stared longingly at them at our local retro store. With a handful of great games, the chance to play the TurboGrafx games on the go will be one of the biggest advantages to Hyperkin’s awesome new device. We can’t wait to get one of these in our hands and play around with them! Check out the full press release below, and let us know what TurboGrafx game YOU want to play!

Assassin’s Creed officially taking a year break.

ac_logo_lkxy0p_c_header

There were rumors, but Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed will not have a new release in 2016.
In a post on the Ubiblog, they state:

“This year, we also are stepping back and re-examining the Assassin’s Creed franchise. As a result, we’ve decided that there will not be a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2016. Since the release of Assassin’s Creed Unity, we’ve learned a lot based on your feedback. We’ve also updated our development processes and recommitted to making Assassin’s Creed a premier open-world franchise. We’re taking this year to evolve the game mechanics and to make sure we’re delivering on the promise of Assassin’s Creed offering unique and memorable gameplay experiences that make history everyone’s playground.”

They also state how they have seen the set from the movie and are very excited. You can read more here.

What do you think? Is this the right move for Assassin’s Creed?

  • Turt Reynolds
Cons:
  • Framerate suffers on PS4 while running, we had occaisonal crash issues.
  • Ending choices can make it feel like you've been led to believe you have options that don't exist.

Pros:
  • Cute art style that blends the Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario styles well.
  • Continuing the series' trend of great music.
  • Character interactions are as charming as always and have great moments.
Cons:
  • Lack of newly designed characters makes the world feel a bit too familiar.
  • Controlling all three brothers can oftentimes be a bit cumbersome.
  • The story feels flat and predictable, with few twists.

Fluddy likes 2015: Transformers Devastation

That didn’t really stop me from thinking the designs and toys were cool back then, because I remember asking for toys I saw in stores. (Which I received…bootleg super breakable versions of that cut into my thumbs. Fun!)

Then more modern-ish shows based on the series starting coming out and by then all I really cared about was Toonami’s other shows. Aside from making fun of the Bay movies like everyone else, this is my history with Transformers. It ain’t much, I know. But you know something I do have a greater history with? Platinum Games.
