The Mid-Week Update 6/28/17 “Miyamoto gives the thumbs down & SNES Classic!”

Super Nintendo Classic Edition officially announced!

Nintendo has officially announced a Sept. 29th release for the SNES Classic, and at $80 USD, The full game list looks amazing. Click the image to the right and check out the titles, and make sure to spot that StarFox 2 listing, the first time the game has ever been offered outside of illegal ROMs!

Here’s hoping supply is a bit better this time…

Playstation Mid-Year-Sale begins!

The annual mid-year sale for Playstation has started! Featuring great deals such as a collection of games for less than five dollars, and a ton for under thirty, the sale is for sure worth checking out. You can find the sale here or in your Playstation store browser.

Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto has no interest in remaking Mario titles.

In an interview with IGN, Shigeru Miyamoto has stated the below when asked about the possibility of remaking Super Mario titles:

Despite that new, more fleshed-out design for Mario, Miyamoto says he has little interest in revisiting his older games, even with new technology. “I don’t really feel like I want to remake any of them. It’s more natural to always create new mechanics and new games.”

While this is respectable, please Miyamoto. I need Sunshine in my life.
